Web Hosting Service Description

  • The Scoilnet Webhosting service provides a hosting service to schools to host their website for free on the schools broadband network (SBN).
  • It also provides a free website address for schools at the .scoilnet.ie domain name. Schools first need to submit a unique Scoilnet Online Name for their school.
  • Schools that decide to keep their existing school web address (domain name) may point this to the school website hosted by the Scoilnet Webhosting service. The school will continue to pay for their domain name with their existing provider; however they will not have to pay for hosting services as this will be provided free by using the Scoilnet Webhosting service.
